History

Granbell is a multi-stakeholder development group  with a unique mandate for the evolution of finance and banking technology.

​GranBell was called TECNOBRAS and was initially a small British company that managed programmers in banking and financial sector systems for small banks, in 1989.

In 2007, two of three major players in the world, who led  another bank consortium for credit/debit card processing integration, left that company and joined GBS, now with a solid block of highly qualified and excellent STEM personnel.

Since 2008, the prolonged crisis in Europe and its impact on the lives of the populations made the GBS mandate to develop enabling digital banks that helped in social development, becoming more relevant than ever.

In 2020, the group developed a new blockchain technology that applied an interface between the banks' API and Open Finance. This was the beginning of a new era for GBS, which culminated in the application of its technology to large banks in the sector.

The oldest multilateral  developing Joint Venture, the Grid Internetwork Bank Services Consortium (GBS), was established in September 18, 2017, and from eight small banks quickly became a 48 member block, including member of the world's TOP 100 banks, finance and management companies, and received input from more than 20 technology partners and non-member banks. GBS has become a leader in the development of blockchain technology applied to the encryption of financial interbank messages.

In September 2023 the company ceased to be a consortium of companies and became a single company formed. All the specialists formed  by group of edge professionals and scientists now become part of the new company, GRANBELL FINANCIAL SERVICES and put in production the most advanced post-quantum network with quantum cryptography and private blockchain running in a the most advanced private network in the world.

In May 2024 we created GRANBELL INTERNATIONAL LTD with the mission to handle the international market and provide worldwide access to our range of services. This company will have offices in every country that requires access to the QDFS network. A huge step to Granbell life.

We hope to reach by 2027 all TOP 100 banks in the world, to adopt our new security standard.
